Warren Buffett's Book Recommendations
Warren Buffett has done a great job educating Berkshire Hathaway investors about the art and craft of investing over the past several decades. Here are some of the books he has recommended:
- Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits, by Phil Fisher (said Buffett: "I highly recommend his books, especially the early ones")
- John Bogle on Investing: The First 50 Years, by John Bogle (said Buffett, "Any investor who owns or is thinking of owning shares in a fund should read this book cover to cover.")
- Sam Walton: Made in America, by Sam Walton (Buffett recommended it in 2003)
- The Essays of Warren Buffett, by Warren Buffett, edited by Larry Cunningham (said Buffett: "The most representative book on my thinking is what Larry Cunningham put together.")
- The Intelligent Investor, by Ben Graham (said Buffett, "the most important investment book, especially chapters 8 and 20")
- The Smartest Guys in the Room, by Bethany McLean (recommended by Buffett in 2003 annual letter)
